Hughes at 1st Tonight. Morneau gets the night off against CC.

So on the Twins' bench tonight we're going to have Morneau, Parmelee, and Burroughs... three left-hand-hitting first basemen... That doesn't give Gardenhire a lot of wiggle-room!

(And yes, I know Burroughs is also a 3rd baseman and Parmelee can play RF...)

Parmelee's not lost. Like a lot of players, he has difficulty hitting major league pitching. In the field, he has been solid.

Would like to see today's lineup and order a whole lot more for awhile, with Parm getting in a couple at first and spelling Plouffe against RHP.
