Thread: Walters: Mauer to have Twins?

In a tweet minutes ago by the Pioneer Press's Charley Walters, he wrote:

Joe and Maddie Mauer expecting Twins. "Were both really excited and couldn't be happier," the Twins' All-Star catcher said Wednesday.

I don't know if this is Minnesota Twins news completely, but it is Twins news on a couple of counts...

Remind me of when former Twins utility infielder Denny Hocking's wife had twins. He was said to have said, "I'm really glad I don't play for the 76ers!"

honestly though I wish them good health through the pregnancy and hope they get two beautiful healthy children.

I didn't realize you could get someone pregnant only getting to first base all the time.

Came here expecting a gibe about double plays, leaving disappointed.

They may be expecting twins at the moment but I imagine Gardy will talk them into triplets.

Yes, great line! I think the Smalleys also had twins while Roy was with the team.

I did get confirmation from Hocking that it was his line (via Twitter)... I think it's hilarious.

Was Cuddyer already an ex-Twin when his girls were born? Congrats to the Mauers (and it does look promising for them to have at least 1 boy given Joe & his brothers).
