    Bollinger: Colabello Took The Road Less Travelled

    MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger has a gracious profile of Chris Colabello, the 29-year-old first baseman who toiled for six years in an independent league but has an outside shot as a bench bat with the Twins sometime this year. There are plenty of good quotes I could pull, but let's go with this one from a different writer....

    TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
    And sorry I could not travel both
    And be one traveler, long I stood
    And looked down one as far as I could
    To where it bent in the undergroth;

    Then took the other, as just as fair,
    And having perhaps the better claim,

    I love that Colabello is making a name for himself on a bigger scaled with the Twin Cities and even the national level this spring. But let's all not forget that it was right here at Twins Daily that he did an interview several months earlier! The guy is terrific!

    I like the photo in the article: a few gnarled hands remind us of all the dings that happen in a baseball career. And also of the old joke about two catchers meeting at an old-timers game, where it took them half an hour to untangle after shaking hands.
