Its already starting to sound like last year and we haven't even started spring training. We already got 4 pitchers coming off surgery and are various stages of recovery. Corneia like Marquis trying to transition to AL and even worse is he's signed for two years. One pitcher already that could go on DL from injurty. All we need now is start to have few position players injuries and we could see the Twins fighting Houston for the worst record in baseball. I I hate to say it but 100+ loss season looks like its coming.

Why are the Twins so awful at timing these things? Honest question....why aren't these surgeries or medical treatments happening in October rather than December? It reminds me a lot of Mauer's thing from two years ago.

Over/Under on Scott Diamond wins this year? I would put it around 8.5

If the team had pitching prospects, the Twins would be looking pretty damned good this season.

Marcum, Lannan, Bedard, Francis, and now Saunders (who I admittedly didn't like, but....).... all cheap one-year deals that the club passed on.

And adding further insult to self-inflicted injury,

Todd Redmond would have been an awfully cheap insurance policy (could have gotten him cheaper than a Businessman's Group Lunch Special) and would have likely quickly moved towards the head of the class on the Twins alleged depth chart of AAAAs.

Yeah, but signing them for this year would have hurt our chances in 2015, remember?
