In his 6 seasons (4 in the AL East) he has a career 3.76 ERA, 1.224 WHIP, 7.3 K/9 and only once posted an ERA+ of under 100 and that was in his first year in the bigs. yeah, I don't get it either...those comments normally seem to come from the contingent of people who defend the FO as a blanket rule...

At this point, the 'dream' scenario would be what others have said

Pelfrey
Diamond
Corriea

I seriously doubt we'll get Marcum, though we should as an $80 million payroll is pathetic. I have hope for Backburn to bounce back and give us 'twins' with Corriea at the back-end of the rotation. Hendriks and Gibson are both fine in AAA until May 15th, IMO unless they light up ST.

I want Marcum... My fingers are crossed...

If we don't get him... I'll begin to have reservations over the success of the off season.

I'm gonna keep those reservations at bay until Marcum signs with someone.
