Matt Capps Option Is Declined
Obviously, this isn't big news, but it does bring us one step closer to the inevitable re-signing of Matt Capps.....

Depending on cost, I'd be ok with bringing him back.

No....just....no. I wouldn't take him if he was free.
His ERA was ok, but he never excelled. When was the last time you thought, "hey, Capps is pitching well!" ?
It's worth going through the trash bin (waivers) to find a cheap pitcher. We'll find Jeff Grays, and just maybe we'll find a Jared Burton.
Please Twins, don't waste your money on bullpen pitchers. Burnett, Fien, and Robertson will suffice.

I am not a big Capps fan and I would certainly consider other options but I wouldn't mind bringing him back as long as it was a one-year deal and for low dollars: $1M-$2M and he was not the cloer - 7th inning/8th inning guy behind Burton.

I hope Matt Capps is a Twin for life.
The hate he inspires from Twins fans is too damn entertaining to lose...
