Former Twins - Spring Training Updates

Yesterday, Thrylos98 posted where fomer Twins players signed in the offseason. I thought it would be good and fun to have a forum thread dedicated to former Twins and Twins minor leaguers playing in big league camps. I figured we can post links to stories on former Twins, player daily stats, transactions, etc.

Box Score Updates from 3/3/12 (Saturday):

    Jim Thome - Philadelphia - DH - 0-2
    Tyler Ladendorf - Oakland - 2B - 1-1
    Jason Kubel - Arizona - LF - 1-3
    David Winfree - Arizona - 1B - 1-2
    Henry Blanco - Arizona - C - 0-2
    Michael Cuddyer - Colorado - RF - 0-1, BB
    Dusty Hughes - Atlanta - 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K
    Ron Mahay - Cincinnati - 1 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 0 K

When is Thome going to see some first base action in Spring Training? Is that still part of the plan for them in Philly? At least until Ryan Howard returns?

Everyone for the Tigers went deep today. I think Al Kaline might have gone yard.

The local (Philly) news say that Thome will play a couple days on the field a week max. And Ryan Howard had a setback and his return is delayed even more

Ron Mahay is still pitching? Is he the last "scab" left still playing?

And where did Repko end up?

Anyone think he's worth a flyer? I always liked the guy here... and perhaps back with Rick Anderson he can find his game. Sign him to a minor league deal... You can never have enough bullpen arms... and with most of Zumaya's contract off the books they could probably sign him with that money. (I know Perk's extension probably ate all of it)

Perkins extension didn't do anything to his 2012 contract, stayed the same. But, no interest in Reyes.

I sure hope that Delmon has a great year in Detroit. Hope he won't knock too many over the wall at Target though.

Jason Kubel with two home runs for the Diamondbacks on Saturday against the Rangers. He was 4-25 (.160) coming into the game.
