Twins Low A Team in St. Paul (Names?)

There has been a lot of talk about what will happen with the Beloit "Snappers" and if the Twins will move their low A team to a different city - St. Paul is one of the speculated destinations.

What if they do indeed move to St. Paul (proposed Lower Town site) in a few years and share a stadium with the "Saints" - what in the world will be the team's name?

What are your choices? I'll start with this -

Pig's Eye "Bootleggers" of Saint Paul

    Let's have at it!!!

I think they would replace the St. Paul Saints and not share the space. But another team in the Midwest League would have to fold or be purchased. I vote for St. Paul Only Child.

I'd be on board with that. I just wanted to throw Pierre "Pigs Eye" Parrant some respect, as he was the bootlegger.

i'd like the team to use right half of the minny and paul logo and call themselves the "paulies". stupid name on the surface, but it'd be an homage to the big league team.

if not, then i'd like it to be the st. paul vulcans. it'd be a nod to the city's heritage while at the same time incorporating star trek into the fold. think of the marketing opportunities! vulcan caps could come with pointy ears, the vulcan salute could be given after home runs, etc.

This would also be good one up manship to the name Saints.

Or they could call themselves the St Paul Jews, for a contrast angle

Keeping "Snappers" wouldn't be terrible - Saint Paul Snappers sounds ok.

    I like Bootleggers and Apostles

other ideas with an "S" sound:
Celtics (large Irish Population in Saint Paul)
    Smoke
Scholars (a nod to all the local colleges)
Summits (after the street, not the beer)

    or completely different
    RiverRats
    RiverCats
    Islanders
    Bluffs
    Frogs

Maybe call them the "Pig's Eye Pirates" ? skip the Saint Paul part altogether . . .

The team moved to St.Paul cannot be Beloit. Beloit is community owned, as well as Burlington which would be the other likely team to be moved.
