Who starts Tue (Diamond suspension)
Scott Diamond scheduled Tue till his 6gm suspension....due back THUR
Cole DeVries today
Liam Hendriks MON
Sam Deduno WED
Brian Duensing THUR
Bullpen is supposedly exhausted & nobody is stretched out to start (tm is worried about Swarzak's shoulder)
Gardy/Anderson never bring guys back on 3 days rest
Esmeril Vasquez started today, so he is out
PJ Walters started FRI....be surprised if they bring him back on 3 days after getting bombed
Pedro Hernandez out for year with shoulder problems
Jeff Manship pitched 3 innings on FRI after Walters...would also have 3 days rest
only other 40 man guys not on DL are Perdomo/Guerra
Blackburn is scheduled for MON's start in ROC....cant be brought back within 10 days ( DFAd Aug 20th) unless there is an injury/DL stint tho.....could he get another shot ALREADY. If its him put back on 40 man....how outraged will fans be
Who will it be??Last edited by greengoblinrulz; 08-26-2012 at 10:29 PM.

LenIII on Twitter an hour ago:
LaVelle E. Neal III @LaVelleNealScott Diamond's appeal expected to be heard Mon.He can schedule the dates of any suspension,so he's still expected to start on Tuesday.
Has something changed since then?

Somewhere along the way, I either forgot/didnt hear that Diamond was appealing the suspension....makes sense as MN was screwed if he wasnt able to.

I didn't know that the player could "schedule" the suspension. Seems like a reason to appeal almost all suspensions. (Would think you'd only not appeal if you wanted it to start immediately).

Major League Baseball announced on Friday that Scott Diamond has been suspended six games and fined an undisclosed amount for "throwing a pitch in the head area" of Josh Hamilton on Thursday.
He will appeal the suspension. Diamond appeared to be defending his teammate Joe Mauer who was drilled in the back by Roy Oswalt in the previous inning, and was immediately ejected from Thursday's contest. As with most suspensions of starting pitchers, it will have very little impact on the hurler, who will simply have his next start pushed back a couple of days. Aug 24 - 8:10 PM

not problem on Scott....but if the suspension was upheld, it could've had a great effect on MN.
Probably Emeril Vasquez will come up for a SAT start & push Cole/Liam back a day or start Esmeril on 6 days rest next SUN. It will be Sept 2nd, so no corresponding move will have to be made either day
