Ryan Doumit Show Great Job!
Last season was an utter and total failure. It was very, very hard to stomach. Coming into this season, I think the majority of us thought we would have a serviceable pitching staff... not great, but good enough to play .500 ball with a healthy offense. obviously it did not turn out that way because of injuries and lack of execution, but this season has not been a wash it terms of entertainment value. Terrance made a couple nice offensive additions by adding Willingham and Doumit.
Willingham has been more than any of us could have hoped for, but Doumit should be given a lot of credit also. He plays catcher and gives the Twins a chance to rest the hometown prodigy. Doumit has always been an offensive player, but has fought injuries in his time spent in the Senior Circuit. In my opinion Doumit is made for the AL and he has rewarded us fans with an outstanding season to this point. Some might lament the loss of Jason Kubel, especially because of the numbers he is putting up in AZ, but I would be surprised if Kubel would have half the HR's if he still called Target Field his home (Target Field got into his head and he needed to escape - as we all know).
Three Cheers for Ryan Doumit! Good Job Twins for signing him to an extension. Doumit has actually been pretty decent behind the plate, packs some punch offensively and is an important piece to the puzzle for now.
This is my "Glass Half Full" thread post of this year.
Viva Ryan Doumit!

Yeah, the doumit extension makes this an even better move. He is a great inexpensive piece to have around.
I agree that his health issues are best served in the AL where he can DH.
