Naturally, the Twins gossip starts when I have to go to a lunch meeting ...

If this happens I would definitely miss Span but will be happy to watch Revere roam CF. I would love to see us get a Cingrani and maybe Didi

Miller: Reds talking Denard Span with Twins
According to CBS Sports' Scott Miller, the Reds, following the trade of Shane Victorino, are now increasing their efforts to land Denard Span from the Minnesota Twins. Once of Miller's sources said there is a "50/50" chance the deal gets done.

I've already prepared myself to be disappointed in the return haul...so bring it on JR.

And this is why you wait to trade. That's probably my only real complaint with the Liriano trade. Teams get crazy and stupid in the last 24 hours of the deadline. Hopefully JR can take advantage of it.

Love the way Span plays and he's a great person, but we need to bolster our minor league pitching. Make this deal happen ASAP.

Any of Cingrani, Sulbaran, or Lotzkar would be really good. Doubt the Reds would deal Didi Gregorius, but maybe they might be desperate enough. also would like to see twins pry off the reds Kyle Waldrop

Didn't the Twins just get their defensively gifted, offensively challenged SS of the future? Pitching, pitching and more pitching is what I want, and the Reds have a ton. I think it would be tough not to come away with at least one pitcher that would immediatly be top 1 or 2 in the system.

I wish Span was enough to get Billy Hamilton, but he is almost as untouchable as they come I bet.

Didi can hit, hopefully he'd settle in that .270/.330/.410 range while playing slick defense, HOPEFULLY!
