I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a no-trade clause, so he really doesn't have any say.

Wow. Apparently there's a Shadow Collective Bargaining Agreement we don't know about.

There's zero chance Span has a NTC.

    What the **** is that!!

At some point if you're considering trading a guy you would speak to him and get an idea of where he's approve a trade.

Does he have a no trade clause that we don't know about? How is this even possible?

He does not...not enough years. Twins just bought out his arbitration years with his current contract.

    MLBNetwork was probably wrong.

Sure he didn't deny he was being traded to the Reds?

I saw the same thing. Looks like some crack reporting by MLB Network

MLB Network admits their mistake. Who knows what they were thinking.

Said it is unlikely he will be traded as Cinci doesn't want to part with young talent.

The Twins have such respect for their players that they ask them if it would be okay before trading them.
If Twins can't re-sign Hunter, plans are to trade, sign a FA or go in-house to find a replacement.

I can't imagine him having a no trade clause either. If he does, that would be another worse than bad move by Bill Smith.
