I saw via mlb "Gamecast" that he left the game late. What happened?

Trevor Plouffe left Friday's game against the Royals with a bruised right thumb.

Plouffe suffered the injury when he was jammed on a pitch. He went 0-for-3 with a strikeout before exiting. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Sad way to end a hitting streak--he would have had a chance in the 9th.

No Plouffe in the lineup today. Carroll at 3B.

I heard them talking about putting him down.

Rest and rehab followed by TJ surgery. Its inevitable.

Actually, after 3 days of rest, the medical staff will realize that it wasn't a bruised thumb after all and instead a hamstring injury.

This thread was started in jest and good fun, but it is becoming eerily prescient. According to LEN3, Plouffe still can't hit and now they are considering putting him on the DL.

    Fixed.

P.S. There was nothing in-jest about stating this thread. Candlelight vigils work. Ask Brad Radke, we brought his arm back from the dead in 2006.

I feel like I am crazy here. There has to be something wrong with our med staff. Right?

So much for accountability in the organization. The failed GM gets a new role. The scouts get to keep drafting. The coaches get to keep teaching Span how to run the bases. And the medical staff gets to keep their jobs.
    Win Twins.

What are the chances that we end up fans of the only team to have injuries? Just rotten luck. Or...something.
