D'oh! I forgot the Angels have been trotting Mark Trumbo out in the OF. So really, I don't see how the Angels have much need for any Twins hitters.

Cameron Bedrosian (RHP) was a 1st round pick in 2010 for the Angels. He missed the 2011 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. He is currently playing for the Cedar Rapids Kernals (A- Midwest League).
From MLB.com:
Another pitcher on the Kernals is Joe Melioris, a 6'11" 270 pound RH relief pitcher. Obviously, he wouldn't be the main piece in a trade, but he could be a fun throw-in.When healthy, the undersized right-hander has an excellent fastball and slider. He’s thrown a changeup and curve as well, but they are way behind the fastball.Last edited by benhertz; 07-18-2012 at 02:34 AM.

Ariel Pena (from MLB.com):
With a plus fastball that touches the upper 90s and a nasty plus slider, he can be nearly impossible to hit. But his command has kept him from having prolonged success, with a future in the bullpen a possibility.

remember campaigning for the Twins to trade for Trumbo before the season started...would have been nice :/

It might have been possible to get a package of 3 of those guys for Capps and Liriano, but with Capps on the DL it throws a wrench in the deal.

Then throw in Burton. He's better anyway.
BTW when I googled his contract I came upon this website which made me laugh:

Bedrosian should be a throw in to Garrett Richards if we do a Liriano thing as his 24/31 K/bb rate in 43.2IP is unappealing but Id gamble that after a full year of recovery, he may look like a formr #1 pick who is only 21.

Let's see, if we could get Lombo Jr. from the Nats and Bedrosian from the Halos - that would give us 3 kids of former world champs (to go with Butera) - any other former Twins kids available?

There have been multiple reports from mid-July that the Angels are interested in Liriano. I find that a little hard to believe, but maybe...

the problem with teh angels is that htey don't match up well with us. I'd just assume one of the big targets ends up over there.
