    Blackburn rehab start

Blackie just got pulled in the 4th inning in Rochester. He was only marginally effective, but I'm guessing pitch count was also an issue.

    3.2 innings, 68 pitches (41 strikes), 3 walks, 2 K's, 4 hits, 4 runs (3 earned).

After 4 complete, Rochester leads 5-4. Hollimon 2 HRs, Carson 2-RBI double.

Marginally effective is a very nice way to say bad.

Sometimes, but I'm also giving him some credit for having rust - I wouldn't expect a stellar outing for a first rehab. The important thing is to get pitches in and get his game rhythm back. Besides, his numbers tonight aren't that much worse than when he was in the rotation

I'm sure his arm is way too strong for him to be effective.

    He must still be "hurt".

Blackburn is BARELY above Marquis on the talent scale at this stage. 31 yr old guys makin 5.5m are killing this team. Keep him in ROC all yr until he actually earns it.

Well they said they would rehab him for 2 starts "even if he throws a no-hitter in his first." So how many is it now? Is it too much to ask that they rehab him for the rest of the year?
