I'm also in favour of the return of Carew blue and am a proud owner of a number of pieces of that fine colours merchandise. It definitely needs some modernizing so running old school pics of Tom Brunansky in tight blue pants is not what I think proponents are advocating. Therein lies the essence of the new look, no tight fitting blue pants, we must go with the pro flare pant and run screaming from the tights. I mean my god can you imagine Capps coming out of the pen in those, talk about nightmares that go beyond what he did Sunday.

Need to go two-tone, Carew Blue on a light grey pant.

Ugh....hated those Softball uni's. But then again considering how bad the teams were during that period it might work. Break these out every time the franchise is going to be in a 5 to 10 year funk. It would be a good visual clue for us as fans as to the mind frame of the powers that be. Unfortuantly the team will not be as fun as the personality of the teams that put those things on every day. No Disco Danny Ford in this group.

Everyone thinks Carew with these uni's, if you want to go good players in here I think Bobby Darwin or the late great Lyman Bostock. That unfortunatly is top end. I think Bombo Rivera, Danny Ford, Bob "Goron" Goronski and the the Glove that went Clank in the night, Twins version, Willie Norwood. These were the players of the baby blues.

The Royals have succeeded in pairing their "Carolina Blue" jerseys with white pants, so the Twins could do that too. Use the "throwback" pants they had in Target Field's first season.

That said, I'm not a big fan of the blue. If it must be brought back, I suggest bringing it back as a punishment for poor play. Any time the Twins lose 3 games in a row, they should be REQUIRED to wear the blue uniforms until they win... a way of telling them, "if you're going to play like losers, you're going to look like losers."

Similarly, they should only be allowed to wear the cream '60s throw back uniforms when they've won at least a couple games in a row.
