Glad to have Morneau back - this improves the chances of our offense outscoring what our pitching gives up. I don't have numbers to back this up but it seems that our offense went into a slump coinciding with his injury. At least it improves our hammer to slap hitter ratio and may keep Butera out of the line-up. Speaking of Butera - I haven't seen mention of it here but the wild pitch by Capps on Monday night should have been blocked by a good fielding catcher in my opinion.

I'm not saying he should have blamed Capps, s**t happens and I'm far from a Gardy hater, I've supported him many times on this forum. I do think however he could be a little more careful with what he says, considering how the average fan is feeling about about the team and his responsibility for it. Digging your heels in and defending the way you do things when you are 10-26 isn't sending a very encouraging message to those listening, even if what you're saying is just lip service.
