I know that some really dislike Gardy here - i don't - but even the fiercest Gardy haters can't blame this season on him. Ryan left this team with bad starting pitching options and thin on CF'ers....

I liked Guthrie, too. Money always matters. When the Twins are good again, it will be from homegrown pitching.

I think the Twins were a pretty good barometer of how good the three teams they played on the road trip are. Detroit is very good, Cleveland is pretty good, and the Sawks have been overperforming. ...

No team came play better than the Twins

This is the kind of thinking that got people Correia bashing this winter. I want to say for the record: I liked the signing and told everyone to give him a chance. 12 wins last year is 12 wins. ...

The Twins have several junkballers/soft-tossers in the system right now that project as back of the rotation arms at best (Deduno, De Vries), some of which are borderline prospects and young...

I get what you're saying but I disagree that he's had a bunch of bad starts. He's made 7 starts. One was horrible (May 3) and he got tagged a bit in another (April 11). His other 5 have been...

Whenever I listen to Gladden, at any moment I expect to hear him smash a beercan into his forehead mid-sentence. I don't really consider that a positive.

It's a real problem with pitch counts, isn't it? Somewhere along the way we decided 100 was a magic number. This not only ignores the "horses" of the game, but it is detrimental to those who struggle...

Gardy would be a much better manager if he didn't actually have Pelfrey as a starter.

I'm pretty sure both Escobar and Hernandez will see significant performance drops soon, but the fact that TR got two cheap, MLB-ready serviceable backups for an enigma like Liriano is pretty...

As you wish: This team isn't handing out contracts without doing even simple research. Glad I could help.

I'll let others discuss luck and BABIP and that stuff. Thus Far... I've seen all of Correia starts and I think he's lucky because no one is hitting him very hard. Is that luck or good pitching?...
