Hopefully it just happened because the Twins representative's car broke down in front of the park.

Figgins' fall from grace -- hitting every branch on the way down -- is well documented. Once an on-base machine with above-average defensive attributes, he quickly became an expensive proposition for the Mariners that they just cut him and ate the $8 million remaining on his $36 million contract.

If by "Chone Figgins workout", they really mean "a Twins representative walked into a Davanni's and Chone Figgins served him a chicken parmesan sub", then I'm okay with it.

Due Diligence for organization depth. Just with those 2 Cuban pitchers. Some teams attend pretty much all workouts, the Twins are one of those teams.

That said, the Twins' system is pretty light as far as third basemen go (check Seth's organizational depth writeup) and he might be a guy who the Twins might want to have in Rochester or in New Britain. Might even be better than Brandon Waring or Bartlett :)

I'll take Waring's power over Figgins' (insert whatever redeeming quality he has left) thankyouverymuch.
