May with a mixed bag, but still encouraging start. Seven innings, with four earned runs (six hits, four doubles), but ten strikeouts and just one walk. Sano with a triple.

Coming off a 2 HR game, I was surprised there was no team reaction to Sano getting the ball thrown at his head at his first at bat. The ball grazed the top of his helmet. That pitcher should have received a warning, but I didn't notice one. Sano just put his head down and ran to first.

I cant remember a player having this many balls thrown at his head ever. Unreal.

Had never thought about it but while in the FSL, I do remember him receiving quite a few high and tight ones. I chalked that more up to that he hugs the plate, there were times that his forearm hung out over the plate. I have no problem with it but he's going to need elbow protection otherwise he's going to chance injury.
