Ford is my most favorite Twins player to start a game with a wispy goatee only to shave it mid-game. Welcome back to baseball, The Great Lewtardo.

Similar to what the Angels just did with the firing of hitting coach Mickey Hatcher, let's say the Twins front office decide to send a message to the clubhouse by axing either hitting coach Joe Vavra or pitching coach Rick Anderson. Which of the two would you fire and why?

Note: One or the other and not both. No cheating by saying Ron Gardenhire or Terry Ryan.

OK so the Twins head to Milwaukee for a weekend series against their border war foes in the Brewers. They face the Brewers 2 aces in Gallardo and Greinke on Saturday and Sunday so it should be a fun series as Miller Park should be packed of Twins fans making the drive down. So here is my question, with the games in a National League park there is no DH, therefore do you have Mauer and Morneau play all three days in the field or do one or the other get a day off in the series being that they also have Monday off. Another aspect to keep in mind is Drew Butera is coming off a 3 hit game yesterday and Scott Diamond is pitching tonight and Butera has caught Diamond in his 2 previous gems. Do you mess up the combo and have Mauer catch him or do you stick with the Combo and give Mauer a full day off as he comes into the series in a 3-19 stretch and hitting only .179 in May. If I am making the lineup I probably sit Mauer tonight and bring him back and catch Saturday and Sunday and have Morneau if he is up to it play 1st all 3. So what does everyone else think.

To everyone on the Twins Daily site I give a heart felt apology for my last blog "Bark's Lounge Signing Out". I actually think that the TD site is a pretty special opportunity for Twins fans to unite, to argue in a positive manner and to express themselves baseball wise. I feel like I have been sloppy in areas and need to tighten things up. If you feel I singled you out in that last blog, I was only venting frustration from a rough day at the office. I think everyone adds a bit to this site... which is pretty damn cool. I hope I can have a second chance to be taken seriously, although I might try my hand at some humor (good or bad). I Do take it seriously. It's Fun... It's Baseball!!!

2010 Twins second baseman Orlando Hudson was released by the Padres, and I love this excerpt from RotoWorld:

Padres released 2B Orlando Hudson.

ESPN's Keith Law first reported that Hudson was designated for assignment, but the Padres have actually requested release waivers, which is a mere formality before he can sign with any team. The 34-year-old was a massive disappointment during his time in San Diego, batting just .238/.313/.344 with a .657 OPS over 585 plate appearances. However, we're sure somebody will take a chance on him at the major league minimum. Alexi Amarista has been called up from Triple-A and should get most of the playing time at second base moving forward.

Massive disappointment?!? A .657 OPS?! That would be the 6th best OPS on the Twins, at least among guys that have been regular "starters"!!! Better than Casilla, Carroll, Plouffe, Parmelee, and Valencia!

Following the game, Manager Ron Gardenhire mentioned that RHP Nick Blackburn had an injury in his thigh? I translate that to meaning... we need an excuse to get him out of this rotation because he is really bad. Need an injury to get him to the DL.

But, if Blackburn would go on the DL, who would start?

My assumption:
Anthony Swarzak would move to rotation with Jeff Manship taking Swarzak's long relief job.

Could also be:

Brian Duensing or Cole DeVries. (DeVries would need a 40 man roster spot to open up)
