  • MLB All-Star Game: NL vs. AL, 07/10/2012, 7:00pm

It's that time of year, folks. The All-Star Game is upon us. Tonight, Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants goes up against Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers. As has been much-discussed here at Twins Daily, Joe Mauer is the only representative for the Twins. What inning do you see him entering the game? How many ABs will ol' Joe get tonight?

And most importantly, do you care about the All-Star game?

Here are your starting lineups, be sure to join in the game conversation found below! I apologize in advance for not providing the wall of stats for this game... Sorting out individual All-Star stats was proving to be too difficult so I opted for only the lineups.

I will watch the game. I'll want to see how Joe does. Also once in a while you see something cool. I really hate the fact that this game decides home field advantage for the world series. The all-star game is an exhibition and it should be nothing more. So what if there was a tie once.

Welp, looks like we will have to win it in 5 games if we want to see the Twins win the series at Target Field.

Also, Nathan in the 2nd, lol.

Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports that the Angels are expected to pursue Zack Greinke at the trade deadline if he's made available.

The division rival Rangers are also known to have interest in the right-hander, though they seem to prefer Cole Hamels among the upper-tier starters that could be available. The Braves and Orioles have also been mentioned as suitors for Greinke, though Heyman was told by a person close to the righty that the Halos are viewed as "a perfect fit.''
