  • Series Preview: Twins @ Marlins, 6/26-6/27

The Minnesota Twins continue their road trip in Miami after dropping two of three games in Cleveland over the weekend. The Twins, struggling to reach the .500 mark for the season, face the worst-in-the-National League Marlins for a short two-game set in Marlins Park.

After seeing the roster plundered in the past 12 months, Miami is last or near-last in almost every offensive category - they are 30th in runs, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage, while also ranking 29th in batting average.

Game one should be a solid pitching match, with Jose Fernandez going against the Twins only qualifying starter, Kevin Correia. Correia has been quite good in June, compiling a 3.65 ERA over four starts and striking out 22 batters in 24.1 (!) innings.

Barf. On the plus side, both Marlins fans must be ecstatic.

That is a good idea. This was a game that I expected the Twins to win. But on any given day...

I see what you did there....and I liked it...

      anyways....

a lot better than how he effected (sic) my affection for this particular game. I'd rather get infected than endure another one of these.... (Uggghhh).
