  2. Twins should go all in on Greinke

    Original post from North Dakota Twins Fan
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The Twins didn't put up much of a fight on Sunday afternoon and their four game winning streak came to an abrupt end at the hands of the Brewers. When the starting pitcher doesn't make it out of the second inning in a game following an extra-inning affair, it is going to be tough for a team to find success. ...
    But I'm reasonably pleased that the Twins still took the series, and things have been looking less glum. And, yeah, ...
  4. Sunday No-Fun-Day for Twins Organization
    by , 05-20-2012 at 08:55 PM
    Yesterday was one of the better days the Twins organization has experienced in the last year. They followed that up with a day that ranks somewhere near the bottom.
    The Twins, attempting to sweep the Brewers in Milwaukee for the first time in over thirty years, fell flat on their face, mostly thanks to the right arm of Jason Marquis. While Mauer collecting four hits and Butera impressing in a relief appearance were both silver linings, many of us are left wondering: What is the next ...
    Aaron and John talk about Jason Marquis' implosion and the state of an increasingly ugly rotation, Drew Butera and Ben Revere turning into Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron, how the Twins handled Chris Parmelee, the Van Halen concert-going experience, Nick Blackburn's return to the disabled list, their PickPointz MVP picks, and Lewwwwww!   6. Blog Spotting: Draft-Worthy Pitchers
    by , 05-20-2012 at 02:20 PM (SethSpeaks.net)
    One of the great things about Twins Daily is that everyone can start up their own Blog. As we have pointed out, the best of the best can be promoted to the front page. Also, we can promoted series as well.
    Over the last week to ten days, frequent Twins Daily contributor Thrylos has been working on a tremendous series called Profiles of the Top 22 Pitchers in the 2012 MLB Draft. It's a great series in which we can learn more about future, potential Minnesota Twins. A few of them will ...
  7. Adopt a Prospect #2: Dreams of Glory
    It's been a couple of weeks since we last checked in on Luis Perdomo, and while the recent road trip has been kind to the Twins (winning four in a row for the first time since mid-June 2011) it has been a little tougher on the bullpen with favorites like Jared Burton suddenly giving up runs. So, is there a chance that Luis might get a call to the bigs?
    No. No, there is not.
    Even if, the bullpen suddenly developed a bad case of leprosy and had their arms fall ...
To this respect, I am presenting profiles of the top 22 pitching prospects for the 2012 MLB draft.
    I will be presenting these alphabetically, and at the end I will rank them. I will be doing about ...
  10. Saturday's Minor League Round-up
    by , 05-19-2012 at 10:31 PM
    The Twins extended their winning streak to four by beating the Brewers in extra innings today. (#ITSHAPPENING?) Ben Revere and Trevor Plouffe played big parts. Drew Butera finally found a bat that feels right in his hands.
    But that’s not what we’re here for, so let’s check out the system on this Saturday:
    ROCHESTER 6, GWINNETT 4
    Cole DeVries got something tonight he hadn’t gotten yet this year – run support. DeVries, who picked up his first win, went eight innings, ...
    Figured I would give this blog thing a try!
    First of all, I like most of you, am a fan of baseball and the Twins in particular. It has been interesting reading some of the posts on here as to how to fix the team. I will offer no theories but instead will post some statistics using what have become the standard measuring tools - AVG/OBP/SLG & OPS for batters and WHIP, K/BB, K/9 & OPS against for pitchers. I will also note the Twins ranks among the AL teams.
    And now, ...
    First and foremost I would like to wish my brother a Happy 30TH Birthday today! You are and always will be my favorite person to talk baseball with. If it weren't for Beloit losing in the 11th inning tonight, the Twins would have given you clean sweep across all four levels for your birthday present. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed your day. Happy Birthday Kavan!
  14. Friday Night Lights
    by , 05-18-2012 at 10:52 PM (SethSpeaks.net)
    Scott Diamond actually gave up a few runs on Friday night, but because the Twins hitters brought their big bats to Miller Park, Diamond becomes the Twins first three-game winner. Josh Willingham got the offense started in the first inning with a long two-run homer. The game was 2-2 going into the 5th inning, but Joe Mauer’s two-run double gave the Twins a 4-2 lead. They scored two the following inning on a two-run Denard Span single. They added four runs in the top of the eighth inning to put the ...
