ID:	4388The Twins dropped two of three in Washington over the weekend, widening their deficit in the AL Central to 7.5 games. For the big-league club, things are looking rather grim.

That was to be expected, however, and fortunately things are considerably brighter down on the farm, which is where fans should be focusing their attention for signs of positivity this year.

Immediately after slugging his 15th and 16th homers of the season for Ft. Myers ...

    Twins at Nationals

A Small Amount of New Hope (Twins 4 Nationals 3 - Game 57)

Thanks to rain that wouldn’t go away, this Nationals series will be played in a space of barely over one day.

Condensing things makes this interleague series into a neat little three part trilogy. Like Star Wars or The Godfather.

Well, it will be for anyone in the Land of Lakes still sporting a TC on their hat, at least.

Miguel Sano: Probably a cornerstone to the 2016 Twins

This year's Twins are better than the 2012 edition, who thankfully were better than the 2011 edition (well, it was hardly possible to be any worse). All signs indicate that the 2014 edition will continue on that track of improvement. The trend is slow. Painfully slow. But the direction

After going 5-3 on a recent eight game road trip against the Charlotte Knights (White Sox) and Gwinnett Braves (Braves), the Rochester Red Wings returned home this weekend to play four games against the Toledo Mud Hens (Tigers). After dropping the opener 8-1 last night, the Wings were hoping Kyle Gibson would be able to get them back on their winning ways.

Entering today’s game with a record of 5-5 in 12 starts so far this season; Gibson had ...
  5. Deibinson Romero is knocking on the door

Before the season began, Deibinson Romero wasn't cracking many top prospect lists. As a 26-year old prospect(?), there had been some tough seasons in the minor leagues. He needed multiple seasons in Beloit, Fort Myers, and New Britain. After 2,600 plate appearances in the minors, Romero had never faced a pitch above Double-A.

Things have changed so far this season for Mr. Romero.

This year it took another trip back to the Eastern League for Romero to get back on track ...
