Size:  8.5 KBOn Monday night, Francisco Liriano is scheduled to make his 130th start in a Twins uniform. It might also be his last.

    With 25 strikeouts over his last two starts and a 2.84 ERA since the start of May, Liriano is the hottest pitcher in baseball. He also might be the most appealing rental available on the trade market, with Zack Greinke's market cooling and Cole Hamels perhaps closing in on an extension with the Phillies.

  2. Sunday Minor League Rundown

    The Twins got a great mound performance from Samuel Deduno who picked up his first MLB win, giving up just one run in 6.1 innings. He got plenty of run support on this day. Ryan Doumit was 3-4 hit two home runs, one from each side of the plate. He drove in four runs. Brian Dozier drove in two more runs with a double off the wall. The Twins bullpen struggled but hung on for a 7-5 win.

  5. Deduno - Wild stuff.....can it be controlled?

    I always love when players get a chance in the bigs...

    Been dying to watch Deduno pitch and here are my observations...

    Has "electric" stuff ok not electric, at least with juice...

    One thing about how he pitches is, if he doesnt know where its going the hitter doesn't either.

    This was his best start, with additional control, I think he can be effective.
