Opening Day lineups are fun. But the real definition of a team is the composite lineup throughout the season.
Were the 2006 Twins defined more by opening day starter Tony Batista or the meteoric rise and fall of young Francisco Liriano?
IN 1984, the year Kirby Puckett established himself in centerfield for the Twins, the opening day center fielder was Jim Eisenreich.
The real test is to guess the season-long lineup. Baseball-Reference does a great job

As expected, on March 22, the Twins placed Anthony Swarzak and Scott Diamond on the 15-day Disabled List.
Anthony Swarzak was placed on the DL with cracked ribs suffered at the end of January while he was in Minnesota for TwinsFest. Apparently he and some teammates were goofing around, officially stated as "horseplay"
Likely Starter: Aaron Hicks
2012 Stats (AA): .286/.384/.460, 13 HR, 61 RBI, 100 R
Potential Backups: Darin Mastroianni, Joe Benson

I've been married for over ten years, so trying to find an emotional connection with this group of Minnesota Twins pitchers is really hard for me.

I know this from single friends. It sounds like there's always something to like
There are no Twins birthdays today. It is, however, the birthday of Hall of Famer George Sisler.
This is my first blog ever, so be gentle. I have a son who is 8 years old, and to my delight, has started following the TWINS. He hears about all these exciting prospects( Buxton, Sano, etc...) and wonders who were the big prospects when i was growing up. First of all, i was old enough where there was no internet, no FSN. I had to rely on The Baseball Digest, Baseball America, and Herb and John for info. The guy that i remember getting the biggest hype was Derek Parks. A power hitting catcher that
