The answer is from Dave Schoenfeld who writes the "Sweet Spot" blog on ESPN's MLB page.
I can see a scary situation unfolding in Minneapolis. Say Mauer and/or Morneau gets hurt again early this season, Target Field could be half empty before the All-Star break as the 2012 Twins challenge the 1962 Mets for the ultimate distinction in baseball futility. How long before Gardy gets his long overdue ejection by the front office, even if the Twins
Will there ever be a way
To choose a Boyfriend of the Day
From this team all too easy to jeer
I guess I'll try tomorrow
Maybe Justin or Liriano
But for now it's a shot and a beer!
After dropping the home opener 5-1 to the Angels, the Twins find themselves as the only American League team without a win this season. Yes, it has only been 4 games. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire is quick to remind the media and fans of that however, is it too early to panic? This author thinks that the panic button should be pushed and pushed hard right now.
In 2011, the Twins began the season 1-3 on their way to a 63-99 record. While a teamís record through 4 games is hardly indicative

Here is this week's installment:
The opening day was a bummer but featured somewhat a comeback, for which I was thankful. Still the Twins lost, which is not good. My thoughts as I was watching that game are here. The second game debacle did not put me in a great mood and the third game was the cherry on top. At least there were a couple of bright points: Swarzak's performance on short notice, Jamey Carroll's
As the Twins sit at 0-4, many questions abound about this team. How bad is this bullpen? Why is Jamey Carroll batting second? Just how awful will the Joe Mauer contract be looked at? Yet, we have heard a myriad of people saying, "be patient." I have two words for you..."screw you."
After sitting through a summer of failures, disappointments and screw ups, many were hoping that the 2012 Twins season was going to be a turnaround. Though expectations certainly weren't
Let me count the ways in which the Twins focused on adding offense this year:
Of the ~$18M the Twins spent this offseason, $14M were spent on adding hitters. The only exceptions were bargain-shopping acquisitions of Jason Marquis and Joe Zumaya.Jamey Carroll was one of the first free agents signed this offseason, and he was given a 2-year deal, despite being limited defensively and being 38 years old? Why? Because he could get on base. He doesnít have a hit this year.Ryan
Itís the same with every team in every city, be it the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox , the Seattle Mariners, the Houston Astros, or the Minnesota Twins.
Each team has fans that are willing to be patient, think logically and give the benefit of the doubt to players and front office personnel whose jobs are much tougher than it looks on TV. Each team has fans that are ready to jump off of a bridge with every loss, feeling the need to place blame on someone, a player, the manager,
I know it's 'in vogue' to call for the head of the hitting coach when things are going badly. I'm hardly the first and if things keep going like this for the Twins (6 runs in 4 games) more and more people will jump on that bandwagon. The fact of the matter is that in each of the past two season, the Twins offense has gotten off to a very slow start and sometimes a change a scenery is needed, even if the old scenery isn't necessarily the problem.
Last year, the circumstances were

At the end of spring training when Brian Doizer was sent down to the minor leagues, he seemed to leave the Twins facility with a chip on his shoulder. His time in the big league camp had been sufficient with him hitting .277/.333/.511 with three home runs and nine RBI in 47 at-bats. With him only having spent part of a season at the Double-A level, it seemed like a very long shot
(4) Four games in, and not the start we all envisioned to be sure.
(5) Five letters for us all to consider
R-E-L-A-X I just hope the Twins, particularly the coaches and the players can just take a deeeeep breath relax, stay calm, not panick and just play baseball.
Getting 1 out of these next 2 against the Angels would be a great start and if they just play ball they can do that.
Next is the Texas Rangers, after stud southpaw Matt Harrison in game

Each week leading up to the MLB draft, I will be providing a roundup of how Big 10 teams fared and how notable players are doing. This player list is by no means exhaustive of all the potential draft candidates and there are likely some listed who will fizzle out, but this is a start.

Updated players-to-watch season stats:

Twins minor league affiliates had not won a game since Friday. All four affiliates lost on Saturday. Rochester was the only team to play on Sunday, but they lost. On Monday, the Twins affiliates were back to their winning ways as all four teams won. Not only that, but some of the organizationís top prospects either continued to hit or broke out a little bit. Eddie Rosario, Brian Dozier and Danny Santana continued to rake. Meanwhile, Miguel Sano had a special day, and Levi Michael and Aaron Hicks
I agree with the majority that Target field is a fantastically beautiful modern facility with a nostalgic/old-time feel, but I am perplexed as to why they planned out the dimensions the way they did. Usually teams who have procured the financing to build a new ballpark build it around their star players and their strengths. I cannot remember if the Twin's were given the thumbs up to build the ballpark in 2006 or 2007, but at that time they at least knew Mauer's strength was as a gap to gap hitter
