  1. Change needs to happen. Rant about MN Politics and the MN Vikings

by , 05-02-2012 at 10:55 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
I saw the disgust on Gardy's face when pulling Hendriks in the 3rd inning. I too was disgusted, had to change the channel. I actually told my wife I felt bad for Gardy. I would feel bad in the situation he is in, when his hands are tied. What do you do, you have to make the trek out there before the 6th inning every game as your team is not in any game. I went through the bad times for the Twins, but the thing is I expected losses, they were underdogs, but yet they fought tooth and nail to ...

  2. Albert Pujols vs Nick Blackburn, and the rest of the atrocious Twins starters.

by , 04-30-2012 at 05:12 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
As Manny Acta from the Indians said " I feel sorry for the people who are going to see him going forward, because he's going to go off. He's getting close. I'm glad he's out of here." He is at home now vs the worst MLB rotation in the league, if he doesn't go off now, it could be pretty interesting for the Angels.

Let's compare Mauer to Pujols right now:

    Mauer BA .325 OBP .419 SLG .428 1 HR (5 2b+3b) 13 RBI

Pujols BA .216 OBP .266 SLG
  3. The Twins vs Royals

by , 04-27-2012 at 12:30 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
Well I get to take a look at two teams that I have a futures bet with a buddy on what team would win more games this year. Of course I took the Twins. Both teams are a futile 5-14. Both teams needed each other at this point, I am glad the Twins get to do it at home, or maybe the Royals are glad to see the Twins on the road since they can't win a game at their own place. 0-10 at home for the Royals to start the season in a season they host the All Star game and a lot of buzz surrounding the team ...
  4. Twins Rotation, Manager/Terry Ryan

by , 04-23-2012 at 12:22 AM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
Is Brandon Webb available???? The Minnesota Twins and Oakland A's would be teams that would look at bringing a guy like Brandon Webb in for the cheap. We have disaster area going on right now. I don't care who you are you aren't going to compete with Pavano, Marquis, Blackburn, Swarzak, Hendriks. This is if Blackburn is healthy, we saw what happened to Baker. I posted that I am giving the Twins some slack for the first 60 games, but something has to happen in the rotation. If Brandon Webb ...
  5. Lots of Thoughts!!

by , 04-20-2012 at 03:47 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")

    Detroit 9-4
    Cleveland 6-5
    Chicago 6-6
    Minnesota 5-9
    Kansas City 3-9

    Any Surprises after 14 games?

In my mind this is about exactly where I figured, with the exception of Chicago being lower by a couple games and KC winning a couple more games. Given the Twins schedule I predicted after 35 games 14-21, we will see where that ends up.

I wanted to make a couple comments on a few thoughts that have been thrown ...
  6. 2-4 With wins comes hope.

by , 04-13-2012 at 03:31 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
Man what a difference two games can make!!! Difference in one thing, and about 1 thing only, that is hitting. 20 hits, Morneau/Mauer hit a homerun in the same game, not to mention Willingham continues banging the ball over the fence. Baseball is fun!! Minnesota Twins couldn't hit the ball in the first 3 games, they couldn't play defense, they couldn't pitch, nothing was right, they start the season 0-4. One thing has gotten better, hitting. We all knew based on numbers that was going to be ...
  7. 0-4 and getting nervous now!!

by , 04-09-2012 at 10:01 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
Why, when you play 162 games in a year does someone who loves baseball as much as I do, who knows that slumps can happen, but when only 2 Twins teams ever started 0-4, then they face 5 of the toughest pitchers in the game to follow, don't you have to be nervous that this is going to be a real long season. I just wrote about starting 0-3, not worrying yet, but today watching as much of the game as I could due to work I am nervous that this is going to be a long summer of boring baseball. I was ...
  8. What a start 2012 Minnesota Twins

by , 04-08-2012 at 09:53 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")

OK 0-3?!?! Probably what was supposed to be the "easiest series" of the first 11 we somehow find the Twins scoring 5 runs in 3 games. We get to see we have defensive struggles in left and right. We see Liriano get eaten up by the Orioles. We see Justin Morneau able to hit the ball around. What does this all mean? Nothing really. Now if we go 0-6, then we can start talking troubles.

I am sure we are going to see the taglines about being the ...

  9. Top 10 Moments of Twins History in my history

by , 04-03-2012 at 11:41 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
Opening day is only 2 days away, we know who is starting, we know who we are starting against. We have done our projections on the team. We have done our projections on players like Liriano, Mauer, Morneau, Capps. It is about time to start the season. I get excited every year for Twins baseball. As I started this blog I always remembered games, players, and just watching baseball on WGN in the day, listening to Haray Carey and Steve Stone, or watching MSC/ Fox Sports Net at night when the Twins ...

  10. Is there really "clutch" in baseball?

I will never forget the 1991 World Series game 6 or 7!! I was 12 years old, I remember watching it at home, I have game 6 and 7 on my DVR, when I watch it I still get goose bumps. Game 6 Kirby Puckett specifically said "I went to the clubhouse, and I gathered [everyone] up. I said, 'Everybody together, we're going to have a short meeting,'" Puckett said, retelling the story years later. "Everybody comes in, and I ...
  11. July Trade Deadline-- What if's. A look at options for 2013 MN Twins.

by , 03-29-2012 at 11:36 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
I admit this is kind of ridiculous looking at this before the beginning of the season, but being bored after watching a horrible Golden Gophers basketball game, I wanted to take a look at the Twins options if they are out of the race and looking to unload, what that looks like, and what are the options for 2013.

Free Agents for the 2012 season for the Minnesota Twins

    Carl Pavano (37)
    Scott Baker (31) 9.25M option
    Fransicso Liriano (29)
    Ryan Doumit (32) ...
  12. Zips projections from ESPN 70 wins 92 losses.

by , 03-29-2012 at 05:20 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
70 wins 92 losses was the consensus on the simulations from Zips. ESPN, and the bloggers from SweetSpots blogs have the prediction of the AL Central:

    White Sox

    The Twins are going ...
  13. Spring in Northern MN, Spring Training, NCAA Tourney and Las Vegas.

by , 03-22-2012 at 10:45 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
It's my blog and I can talk about what I want to, which is great and I hope people enjoy the fun I am going to have this year writing everyday things. I just returned from Las Vegas, spending a great time betting on NCAA basketball, (which went horribly bad), and doing a lot of drinking w/ my really good friends. First stop was Fremont, of course this is my favorite place to go because of the type of people and shenanigans you run into, and quite frankly it is less expensive to do things. We ...
  14. OMG! This would make my season from Valencia if he did this all year.

by , 03-10-2012 at 06:52 PM ("And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night.")
Last year I was the biggest Valencia hater!! I wasn't sure why they wouldn't put 3 players to the left of 2nd base when Valencia batted. All he did was try to hit the ball to the upper deck in left field, I was very, very annoyed by his at bats all season. If Danny Valencia can use the whole field in his at bats I will definitely come around to him as a batter. This is very good news that he is working hard on doing that, last year I was rooting for Hughes to take his spot, or at least give ...
