Wow, i'm surprised Doumit isn't at catcher today after a night game. Mostly I was hoping for this so Mauer would catch both Friday and Saturday when I'm there.

Like the Speed at the bottom... Now if they would only run... Well actually get on base first... if they do that... Then put some pressure Mr. Haren and Wilson.
I'm also making the call for a Parmelee Home Run today off Haren. Parmelee loves the low ball... Haren will deliver it.

Lets see Carrol have back to back good games. Nice to see Revere in the lineup too!

I wasn't sure which Liriano would show up today: the 7 and 2/3 innings of 3 hit Liriano; or the 2 and 2/3 innings of 8 hit Liriano that gets his pitch count up to 50 before the second inning ends. Unfortunately, this looks to be the latter of the two.
Hopefully he can get some stability here.Andrew Walter

I can't not watch when Liriano pitches because you never know what's going to happen. This is the Frankie that I'd rather not watch.

So who will be the first long releiver to bail Frankie out next inning? Duensing?

We better just take all pitcher's in the June draft. Maybe then we can find someone that can pitch at the major league level.

It's hard to even imagine what next year's rotation will look like.

He looks totally off. His delivery is all jacked up. How this happens to a once-elite pitcher is really bizarre. How does he not have a consistent delivery that isn't all wonky?

Striking out with a runner on third and one out happens but if you make over 20 million it really can't. Score that run and the game could be different.
Disclaimer... I like Mauer... I really do but he's in the three hole for exactly that moment. A run scored in that at bat and it makes a difference with a head case on the mound.
Disclaimer... I like Liriano... But buck up and compete. Pickup your teammates when they fail. That pitcher on the other side named Dan Haren is real.

I was thinking the same thing about Mauer. He seems like the anti-clutch hitter and more of a rally killer.

Twins Minor League Report (5/23): Baxendale,...
I’ve been following the Twins minor league system pretty much daily for the past eight years. I can honestly say that I have not seen a pitcher have an opening stretch like DJ Baxendale has had this...
