Joe Benson walks and Eddie Rosario blasts a homer over the RF fence!

Yes. It's pretty frustrating to go to the Yahoo baseball page, see the line score showing 5-3 in the fifth and click on that tantalizing Box Score link, and only get another edition of the line score.
Are they in a rain delay? Looks like they've been in the fifth for a long while now. Or maybe I'm just impatient.

I like the Dan Gladden quote: "Bush trying to make the club as a non-roster invitee. He's not doing himself any favors by giving up a home run to a guy wearing number 97."

Good to see Tim Wood throwing ground ball outs. That's pretty much what he was brought in for. And it is good to see that Rosario is showing plenty of power early on.

An audio subscription is only $20 for the whole season, spring training included. (Listening at work now.) For me being out of area it's better than nothing. And I can play that and mute the TV when the Twins are in town playing the White Sox so I don't have to listen to Hawk.

Robertson Pitching in the bottom of the 7th. Twins up 8-3.
LaRoche hits a solo shot. 8-4.
Three pitch strike out, followed by a single then a 6-4-3 DP (Santana to Rosario to Clement).
Sorry I don't have all the batters names.Last edited by James; 02-26-2013 at 02:40 PM.

Can we quit spring training now please? Hicks, Rosario and Benson all having great games. Can we agree that the bit about stats not mattering in spring training only applies if your players stink?

Tonkin gets a 1-2-3 8th. The last out was a hit deep to center though. Almost to the wall. But hey, an out is an out.

Benson strikes out again... (The hat trick).
Rosario gets a line drive single!
They end up leaving 2 on in the top of the 9th. Still up 8-4.Last edited by James; 02-26-2013 at 03:03 PM.

Can anyone put any perspective on how Eddie Rosario is handling 2nd base over this past week?

Game ends on a grounder to Eddie Rosario. Twins win 8-4!

Well, I haven't heard any Nishi references, so I think Rosario has been doing fairly well at second base.

We're only a few days into games, but Rosario is getting more playing time than I would have ever guessed. With the middle infield up for grabs, I would expect the main 4 guys to get most of the playing time to see how they play together and fit together. And there's plenty of AA and AAA filler to give playing time to. I'm sure Gardy likes to see Rosario and the fans do to, but I don't quite get the point of giving time to an A ball player who's got a half a year's experience on defense.
No point to this comment, really, I just thinks it's interesting.

Step Right Up...
It is now late May, and the Twins season is at a crossroads. The team has lost eight straight games as it embarks on a four-game series in Detroit against the Tigers. The season is in flux, and right...
