First two pitches no where near the zone, third pitch right down the center.

    This should end well.

I might be in minority but I dont think much of the Yanks everyday lineup.
Yes, a ton of HRs but very low BAve's. They can be pitched to, but of course MN has AAA guys trying to get em out.
They have 'names' but not great players anymore.

Those old guys can play baseball, and are without Teixeira & Gardner, a great home team too.

Yeah, they draw too many walks, hit too many homers, and score too many runs. They need to hit for a better average like the Royals.

better pitching (playoff type starters) wont give up the HRs.
Dont give up HRs to NYY....you win
Give up HRs to NYY....you lose

MN just doesnt have the type of pitching to limit the HRs....they dont have great stuff across the board.
But to agree with ya, they draw a ton of walks to make those HRs 2/3/4 runs at a time.

Vintage Mauer tonight, bonus points for it being against the Yankees.

    Great win.

Kinda good they didn't wave the white flag after the first 3 pitches.

    Great win.

---Yes, indeed. Although I'm waiting for the Mauer-haters to show up and start ripping him for not getting any extra base hits.
