Good to see Terry Doyle get the start today in Tampa for the Twins. I like that he's starting in that he'll see more big league hitters. The Twins have (obviously) a big decision to make on him and it'll be good to see him against good hitters. Hopefully he steps up.

Doyle hit Sean Rodriguez. Rays announcers say it happens a lot. Joyce got another grounder to 1B for a force out at 2B.

Are you listening? Parmelee barely got hit. It took a minute to realize it hit him. That wasn't a purpose pitch in any way.

Solid Twins debut for Terry Doyle. Three ground ball outs to 1B, a fly out to RF, a strikeout. He hit Sean Rodriguez with a pitch. The lone negative was the 2-out, 2nd inning walk to Jeff Salazar. Came back to get a pop up to shallow right. Two innings, no hit, no runs, 1 BB, 1 K. 1 HBP.

Scott Diamond in for the 3rd inning. Got the first out, then gave up a single. Then gave up another single, but Brian Dinkelman threw out the runner trying to go to 3rd base. However, Matt Joyce singled in a run. Diamond gave up one run on three hits in the third inning.

Perdomo strikes out the first batter on three straight called strikes. But Jeff Salazar took his first pitch and blasted a home run.

Perdomo came back with a strikeout of Tim Beckham and a ground out back to himself. Not too shabby.

Chris Parmelee with a two-run homer off Burke Badenhop. It scored Matt Carson who was pinch-running for Trevor Plouffe. Plouffe had singled and went 2-3 on his day.
