They could be our "Wrigley Field Baskets."

The Rays sideline guy... interviewed Joe Maddon after commercial break.

Q: Why is Zobrist playing 2nd today?

A: Well Moore and Hellickson are fly ball pitchers but the Twins put the ball on the ground more than most teams.

Seems to be working so far

Several pitches were good and on the corners, but yeah, Rays waited for the pitches up and Devries would eventually deliver one right over the heart of the plate and up.

That's exactly what I had in mind but on a much grander scale. I think that's what the overhang in RF is supposed to be already, kinda.

I will say this about the 2012 Twins. I do believe that even being down 8-2 in the 4th, that they could conceivably still win this game.

Couldn't say that about the injury plaqued 2011 club.

FWIW Twins have scored 2nd most runs since all star break, behind only the Angels

"Rubes" gives me horrible, horrible flashbacks to a certain armpit of a forum.

Doesn't surprise me - we knew they had some offense (when it clicks). How do they stand in runs given up?

It wouldn't be a Twins game without making an unnecessary out on the bases.

I wonder which is greater - the number of bases that Revere has taken over and above the average player solely on his speed vs. the number of times he's screwed the pooch on the bases?

Welcome AL East hitters to craptastic AL central pitching.
