Can you imagine, your looking at slop the whole game and Perkins comes in, and starts buzzing 97mph fast balls under your chin.

I'm going to periodically talk crap about Dozier more often on here. Seems to work well for the kid.

The Twins just shut out the Sox at Fenwey, but reading the comments, they looked like written by a mother in law. Lighten up!

Does it really matter whether Perkins pitches for a week? He is one of the few known quantities going into 2013. Baby Burton and Perkins the rest of the way and probably they will reward the team with good performances next year. The twins need to find out who can pitch and who can't--guys like Fien, Gray, Burnett and Robertson can build a case for next year in the next month or so. I don't hold out a lot of hope for Gray, but some of the other guys have a chance.

Nice win in a clean, crisp, briskly-paced game. I never would have guessed that the Twins could participate in a game lasting all of a mere 2:35 with Sam Deduno on the mound. It's hard to figure how he's taken 'til 29 to suddenly figure things out. Hopefully the league won't soon figure HIM out and reveal that he's little more than just a mirage manipulating mirrors like a magician. Give Gardy, Andy and Ryan credit for their willingness to give the kid a shot even though his approach is antithetical to everything they preach. Gotta keep pulling for him.

Don't see it mentioned here, a heckuva nice game by the rookie out at SS, too.

Examining Oswaldo Arcia's recent struggles
Figuring hitters out, a baseball lifer told me recently, is like trying to untangle a giant knot. At first you just try to attack it in the easiest manner possible. If that does not work, you pick...
