Ben is having a nice game for himself in the first inning.

One of those singles to left-center would work just fine here.

Joe Mauer: not a run producer, confirmed. He took two pitches.

    edit: Three pitches.

edit: Tried to take off the pitcher's head with a single.

Thats the point. Everyone up in arms about which corner revere plays is all agog about very little and what little there is is all arm related.

I only cared when I thought that left field was more active. Now that it appears that nobody on planet earth knows for sure which corner outfield spot is more active, it doesn't matter so much (but I'd still like to see him in left, if only because of the arm).

Hopefully this is a non-issue soon when Revere shifts into center.

It'd be swell to see the Twins chase an opposing starter early.

Plouffe is a completely different hitter. I have no idea what his ceiling is at this point. His selection is far better than I ever expected since the breakout.

It'd be swell to not see them waste multiple base runners for the umpteenth time this month.

Can it be possibly? Are the fickle gods of baseball actually on our side tonight?

Speaking of guys who look like different hitters recently... Has Dozier turned the corner? It sure looks like a possibility.

Four runs... Hopefully that will be enough for Baker, Diamond, Leius, or whatever Scott is playing for the Twins tonight.

Tillman has to be ready to fall over at this point.

Still gotta work on that defense, though - too many errors on straight-forward plays.

Thats a good question. His selectivity is a big reason why I wanted consistent playing time. I feel like he's been missing many more pitches lately than he did last month. Obviously he isn't going to hit 10 HR a month, but it makes me want to see more before I anoint him 3b of the future.
