Missed that. I'll just assume everyone on the field fell down at the same time.

hate to see bennie get HBP. I don't know if I could ever get over being hit in the face by a pitch, even if it was more than a year ago.

Cruz didn't look lazy on that play in the corner.

Naturally, he then proceeds to make an impressive play to end the inning.

Drew needs to show us why he is Frankie's catcher and calm him down.Get him through the fourth.

And now it appears that Hamilton may have re-injured his back.

I am willing to have Drew's bat in the lineup every 5 games as long as he can get Frankie through 7 or 8 innings every game. Do you think that Drew has a calming affect on Frankie? Would Joe or Ryan have had as much success? It's obvious to everyone that it is a mental thing when things go wrong for him (guys on base). If all it takes is to look in and see Drew's face, that is a small price to pay in order to get a quality start out of Liriano.

I agree 100%, and would add that Butera seems to be pretty good at throwing out base stealers. He is also batting .246, which is not terrible for a backup catcher.

Watching Frankie pitch out of trouble is like one of those rides at the amusement park that carry a warning for those who have heart conditions!

I know that Liriano is throwing the pitches, but I keep thinking that Drew is an equal partner in getting him out of trouble. That DP sure came at a great time.

5 runs on 7 hits tonight, why couldn't we get that kind of ratio yesterday. Diamond deserved that win.

OK, he's losing it. Pull him before it's too late.

Good news from the farm - Walters pitched 5 scoreless innings for Rochester. Looks like he's ready to return.

Thanks for that good news. Hopefully the "Wall" can pick up where he left off.
