Use a bat, it'd be good for a 3-run homer.

Is it too late to make a comment about the sinker not working?

Tomorrow morning, can the Twins demote Blackburn and call up Humber?

I wonder how long they leave Blackburn out there. Gardy's gotta be worried about depleting the bullpen, especially with Duensing pitching tomorrow. He might let Blackie take one for the team and pitch a couple more, even if he gets hit hard - kind of a sacrificial goat.

I'm flabbergasted that this baseball club can continue to send this crap to the mound every five games.

Does Gardy hate Blackburn yet? That will have something to do with how he is handled.

I would blame Gardenhire -- this is his decision and Blackburn is merely doing what he is told to do.

Watching Blackburn pitch almost makes me wish we had Marquis back.

C'mon Plouffe -- we could use one more.

The White Sox are beating the stew out of the Rangers tonight -- 16-0 in the 7th. Oswalt pitched worse than Blackburn tonight.

At least Blackie got his ERA back over 8.

Takes a lot to raise your over-7 ERA to now over-8

There is no reason. NONE. To leave this guy on the team. He provides no help. At all.

These starters are killing the bullpen. The effectiveness of any of these guys later in the year, AND next year from over-use in 2012, will be in question.

Agreed he's pretty much useless right now, but who do we have to replace him? Do we leave Duensing in the rotation permanently? The only reason he's still pitching now is that there aren't many alternatives.

Oswalt's ERA is now 7.79. Maybe the Rangers would take Blackburn for Oswalt?

So Bert Blyleven is not doing the telecasts for the next couple of weeks. They say it is because of duties connected with the hall of fame induction this year.

I have another theory. Perhaps the Twins have talked him out of retirement and he's getting ready to join the rotation.

Good one. I would not mind seeing Butera get a start if the other option that day is Blackburn.

Gardenhire is asking for a lot from Jeff Gray tonight, and Gray looks tired.
