And I would have been wrong. Congratulations to Butera for hitting the bomb.

This has turned out to be a very enjoyable game. I will be in a good mood for the rest of the day.

A new record for Target Field - the first time the Twins have hit 4 HRs in a game here.

KC appears to be looking forward to sitting someplace with air conditioning.

Don't get too casual here, guys. You still have to get that last out. Texas was one pitch away from winning the world series last fall twice, and ended up with nothing.

So it turns out that we needed the Butera home run to win... tis an interesting game, baseball is.

And Gray gets another win on another less than impressive relief outing. What a worthless stat.

That was a fun game to watch. I didn't like the way things were looking when KC made it 5-1, but that's baseball.
Let's see what we can do in Detroit.
I'd love to see Hendriks get his first W tomorrow.
That 4th of July matchup of Duensing vs. Verlander doesn't give me good feelings.

I will share in that wish.
I am also hoping that Hendriks can develop a better "out" pitch. Hendriks seems to have solid stuff, but hitters are able to hang in there against him for a long time, fouling off pitches until they get one they can hit. I wonder what is being done or could be done to address this.
