It all started with the bunt!

This was all one inning too late. If they do this in the 5th and give Liriano a 5-run lead, he could have pitched with no pressure and gotten through six, maybe even seven.

Butera just made a great throw to nail the attempted base stealer. So at least he has some value today.

Butera has a great arm, I would match him up against any catcher in baseball in throwing out runners. If the pitchers give him a shot (holding them close and not giving incredible jumps), he will get them 50% of the time.

Nice catch by Willingham. Lots of Twins are contributing today.

Butler was more than pesky, but Burton hung in there. If the Twins win today, lots of folks deserve credit.

This will be perfect if Plouffe can get his third home run of the day.

Yes. These are the little things that all too often get unnoticed. Mauer battles Chapman and gets a double, wearing him down emotionally and setting up the Willingham homer. Butler tries to do the same thing here, but Burton wins the battle and prevents would could have been a nasty inning from happening.

Just take the walk there Plouffe, can't hit one out every time, nor should you try when they're pitching around you.

And now I would pinch hit Revere for Butera. Why not go with the hotter bat to go for more insurance runs?

Examining Oswaldo Arcia's recent struggles
Figuring hitters out, a baseball lifer told me recently, is like trying to untangle a giant knot. At first you just try to attack it in the easiest manner possible. If that does not work, you pick...
