    Game 59....Twins V Cubs...6/10/12

    JoeCStrib #Twins vs. Dempster: Span 8, Revere 9, Mauer DH, Willingham 7, Morneau 3, Plouffe 5, Dozier 6, Butera 2, Carroll 4. (Liriano P)

sorry just copied and pasted from Twiiter...according to several Twitter sources Gardy hinted today on his radio show that Hendriks will be called up to start on Saturday....had another great outing last night in Rochester.

Be curious to see what the corresponding move is on Hendriks. Gray DFA?

With the relative stability of the rotation--at least five innings per start-- several days off, and having eight relief pitchers including two long guys, I think a Gray DFA is coming unless someone gets hurt in the next four days. I presume Hendriks could go Friday, with Liriano Saturday, giving both one extra day of rest.

Not liking Butera as the "pitcher whisperer", but with Liriano, small steps.

I could see Manship head back down as he has not seen many opportunities it the 10 days or so that he has been up. He would probably go back down to AAA to start in Hendricks absence.

I would agree with this...Rochester would need another starter...makes sense.

yeah I don't like Doumit's bat out of the lineup but we need to get Frankie right and if it takes Butera's bat in the lineup once a week so be it. No use screwing up a good thing although it's only been two starts..it's been two GREAT starts so we'll see if he keeps it up.

I prefer Doumit's bat in the lineup, but catchers need full days off. Just have to pick days, so it isn't a big deal.

Butera is starting because they expect him to relieve Liriano in the 4th.

Make it a sweep! Go new leaf Twins! If Liriano goes 6 IP with 4 or less ER, I'll be ok with it. I think we may have a tough day at the plate.

Willingham's gotta make that catch. Absolutely ridiculous.

This has probably been brought up this weekend but watching the game on WGN is like being in the front row compared to FSNorth.

I've really enjoyed their coverage, presentation and calling of games as well. But maybe I'm just overjoyed watching a game on tv rather than computer or not at all.

Yeah, the Cubs announcers do a great job.

As is, unfortunately, Ryan Dempster. Which is why I want the Twins to target him in the offseason with some of that sweet, sweet money the Twins have saved this year and will be saving in the future with all the young players and their more modest salaries.

Also, yes one really can hear way more from the crowd (and perhaps dugouts?).

Why was Dozier bunting with the Twins down by 4 runs?

On the telecast Bert called it a rookie mistake.

There's a Steve Little special, down four runs, send the runner.
