O great; I really hope the Twins realize exactly why they took Plouffe out of the infield after today, because I really don't want to see him in the infield when I go to the game tomorrow. I would prefer Casilla to be at 2b and Carroll at 3b.

Please let Blackburn have a decent start. I have gotten 2 of my wishes so far. Liriano not starting anymore and Valencia sent down. Let me go 3 for 3

On the other hand, if you are going to give an opportunity to the guy, this is the moment. You know he is going to make a blunder or two, but let's see if Plouffe can play once and for all. If after a month or so, they see that he keeps screwing up, offensively and defensively, options or no options, go down or out.

I saw that Sano did not play for Beloit today. Anybody know if that was just a routine day off? I'm planning to go to the game tomorrow, but it may not be worth the trip if he's not playing. Also hoping that if it was just a day off that Rosario isn't due for one tomorrow.

Twins pitchers are the freshest in the league as they have thrown the fewest innings per game of any American League team this year: 8.61. (The Baltimore Orioles have pitched 9.41 innings per game.) The Twins have accomplished this by only having to pitch the 9th inning in 4 of their 16 road games thus far and by not playing in any extra inning games.

Nice hit and run there by Span. Let's build on this and get some runs.

Then they make it easy on Drabek to get out of the inning. Hit and run on 1-0 on terrible pitch would have been 2-0 but is a CS instead and gets the count back to even. Poor play calling there, especially woth a runner on 3rd. I liked the 3-2 hit and run but this one's on the manager.

Perhaps there's a build-up of crap-at-bat gas below third base...

Advice for Blackburn: If you want to pitch in the majors beyond this current contract, you must develop one or two consistent and effective off-speed pitches... It really is just that simple.

Wow. Absolutely nothing can go right for this team. I wonder if Target Field is built on an ancient Indian burial site or something.

Nice to see Mastroianni get his second career hit and give us an insurance run.

Examining Oswaldo Arcia's recent struggles
Figuring hitters out, a baseball lifer told me recently, is like trying to untangle a giant knot. At first you just try to attack it in the easiest manner possible. If that does not work, you pick...
