Off-day for Willingham, hopefully that will rejuvenate him

Dozier's first start against Weaver... that could be rough. Let's hope not.

Fair enough. I like Dozier being thrown into the two-spot for his first game for excitement purposes, but I would prefer Mauer there. Maybe not with Willingham and Morneau out, I guess.
I bet Carroll hits better down there, and I like he and Span still back-to-back.

I really like Dozier in the 2 spot. I hope it sends a message that he's their guy for the future and they have faith in his abilities.

I am just glad that they are keeping Carroll's glove in the lineup, despite the fact that Casilla has about the same range and might even hit a little better and run a little faster.
Last year, the Twins didn't have a great fielding MI combo with so many guys injured, but Carroll has done an excellent job of playing short and gaining camraderie and being a great double play duo with Casilla

I have a feeling that one of the first six Twins hitters will spoil Weaver's chance for a second no-hitter.

Joe C explained some of the lunacy in the lineup: Willingham has some sort of a virus (aka "flu" but not influenza, really) and Casilla has a sore shoulder from a dive in Seattle

Vegas O/U on Twins baserunners in this game is 6 per my bookie. This is the lowest O/U he can ever remember since the 1980's! Shows just how embarrassing this lineup is.

Hoping the revenge factor provides some otherwise lacking motivation. No team enjoys being no hit.

Question: If Weaver has a no-no going in the 8th, does he rush into the clubhouse again to take a whiz?

I was strongly considering the under as well but decided to hope for a miracle. Didn't fully realize Willingham is out which makes the lineup worse than over 1/2 the AAA lineups in minors.
Now just hoping for 1 hit which is terribly sad. Has there ever been a MLB team so putrid that you just pray for 1 measly hit????
