You may know something I don't, but I would be very surprised if Gardy is not back managing the Twins at the start of 2014.

"And finally, former Twin Jim Hoey (http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/hoeyja02.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-www.blogger.com) ended his career with a 1000 ERA!!!!!!"

That at least makes giving up on Hardy acceptable.

NOONE CAN BEAT THAT RECORD!

It's more of a gut feeling. I have no knowledge of anything. It's just hard to imagine his return after the past three awful seasons.

"There's no sense in having him risk more brain damage to win a couple meaningless games."

Is it possible to get more brain damage? He's from St. Paul after all.

Plus Mauer probably wants to be their for Gardy's going away party in the clubhouse after the final game, I heard they were having sheet cake.

The Clete Thomas (http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/t/thomacl02.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-www.blogger.com) of GMs is vague. It depends on what you think of Clete Thomas, right?

No, it works either way. If you think that means "worse than bad," then you are either very self-aware or falsely modest. If you think it means "pretty good, an up-and-coming prospect," then you would definitely be the Clete Thomas of GMs.
