I love the way this kid plays the game. I think there should be more like him. He goes all out all the time and he seems to enjoy it. I agree with Schoenfield in regards to Puig. here' what he had to say:

Yasiel Puig's arrogance not a bad thing - SweetSpot Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/id/38089/yasiel-puigs-arrogance-not-a-bad-thing)

"Yasiel Puig's arrogance not a bad thing"

Yeah, that wouldn't fly around here. We'd hear open complaining to the media from the manager the first time he didn't run out a groundball.

I completely agree with the article.

I thought the whole D-Backs vs Dodgers thing was one more example that baseball code/unwritten rules/right way or whatever you want to call it is a collection of nonsense. Most of the time it seems to excuse stupidity and punish aggressive play that is within the rules.

Well, in that case, we're talking Marquess of Queensberry rules... :-)

I agree 100 percent that Puig is a breath of fresh air.

The pro game is stale becuase of this baseball code nonsense.

Just think back for a second... Remember the Hrbek Grand Slam against the Cardinals in the 87 World Series.

Remember him running around the bases with his arms up in the air. Remember how good it felt for you to watch it happen and you could feel how good it felt for Hrbek with those arms outstretched.

Is this something that is only allowed during the playoffs or World Series???

Why don't we see that in game 83 of a 162 game season. It's a good question if you think about it. The baseball code is a bunch of crap and it kills the game.

Players talk about drilling a guy because he watched his home run or showed them up by celebrating.

If you don't want to be showed up... Grow up and get him out.

Puig is a breath of fresh air. I hope the vets don't try to change him.
