I feel like the Buxton hype deserves it's own thread on urban legend discussions similar to Chuck Norris jokes. The things this guy does is remarkable. I'll get it started...

The tradition of the 7th inning stretch began when Byron Buxton flexed his muscles and everyone stood as a gesture of respect.

When he shows up on the Twins, the team will have Joe Mauer switch numbers so Byron Buxton can wear 7.

More likely Mauer will keep #7 and Buxton will be issued #007 - licensed to kill baseballs.

Buxton won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, because he is such a great teammate. He also won the Nobel Prize in Literature, because he wanted it.
