It would be great if articles would link player names to their BB-Ref pages, something like they do at MLB Trade Rumors:

Automatic Player Linker - Baseball-Reference.com (http://www.baseball-reference.com/linker/)

Would come in real handy for the minor-league write-ups! I know a lot of them (Seth) put player names in boldface anyway, so perhaps it could be done without any extra work for the author, just clicking a different button.

Update: looks like Seth is doing this now, at least he did it for today's Minor League Starters article. Works great! Particularly valuable when browsing via mobile device where it's not always easy to copy and paste player names, and I don't want to learn to spell "Stuifbergen" quite yet....

It's a great way to generate page views too. I get about 80% of my traffic from Baseball Reference.

Just so we're clear - 80% of 5 is 4.

I intended to do it for today's write-up, but by the time it came around to posting, I decided I'd rather call it a night and go to bed. It is something that I will try to do more in my articles, though, because I agree - it's nice to have.

I've been mulling over this for a month or so now... I'll mention it to the writers and see what they think about it.

There's a way to link the stories to the guys' page right? I mean from their side of things. The story shows up on their page... is that right? Is it easy?

Yes. Pretty sure Brock is familiar with it, but basically you run the linker tool on your pages/posts:

Automatic Player Linker - Baseball-Reference.com (http://www.baseball-reference.com/linker/)

Then submit your content RSS feed to BB-Ref and they will periodically scan it looking for those links, and link back to you on relevant player pages:

Submit your Content to Player Newsfeeds - Baseball-Reference.com (http://www.baseball-reference.com/linker/newsfeed.shtml)
