Chris Sale threw a slider to Emilio Bonifacio in yesterday's game that broke down and in so hard it ended up hitting Bonifacio in the inside of his right knee, right on the fat part. I think Bonifacio ended up scoring in that inning, Jays won.

Agreed. I love watching the Twins beat the Whitesox more than any other team. It may be because I have a friend that is a die hard Whitesox fan, and I love rubbing a Twins win in his face... or maybe I'm just a horrible friend.

Sure wish I was In Hawaii right now.

So this is April... At least... That's what the calender says.

How long have you worked here?

These drinks come in glasses way to small. Do you think it would be OK if I just carried around a bottle.

So when is the baby due? Have you picked out names yet? Your not pregnant... I'm sorry about that. Can I get you a drink or something?

Can I ask you something... what's your favorite vegetable? And it has to be green.

Are those your real teeth?

Do you ever have strange dreams about Bob Eubanks or Bob Barker?

Not that I think they should have cancelled, because I don't ... but sitting in either stadium in Chicago this time of year with any kind of wind is colder than sitting in Minnesota this time of year. The wind off the lake goes to the bone. It's f-ing cold ... snow or no snow.

To top it off I closed a car door on my finger when I got home. Thankfully the copious amounts of liquor dulled the pain.

Who leads the Twins in home runs after this series? Does Arcia have more hits than Hicks when the series is over? Do the Twins get at least one win and stay ahead of the Sox in the standings? Do the Twins get two wins and leave Chicago with a winning record?

Here are my predictions--Parmelee goes deep twice and takes the team lead in HRs or at least a share. Arcia gets three hits in two games and Hicks only gets one, so Arcia will have four and Hicks three. The Twins split the series and leave Chicago with a 7-8 record. Bonus prediction: Vanimal will be much better, but get a loss today.

Yes, it's very generous up and on the corners, especially away. Plouffe gets one ball and the exact same, next pitch rings him up. Tough.

As of right now... The Twins are buyers at the trade deadline.

A little resilience, this is good. For the 2-game sweep, put it on the board...yes.

It always warms my heart to see the Twins high-fiving on the field at US Cellular.

Well they won in spite of all their mistakes and their terrible clutch hitting. Props to Worley and the bullpen (and Chicago's punchless lineup).

Back to .500 seems pretty good right now. Plus the Sox bullpen should be tired tomorrow.

Win Twins! Worley looked good today (as I watched the radio). The Sox radio guys were basically laughing about the strike zone, though started complaining near the end as it got a little tighter and also less consistent. Farmer is such a complete idiot. If you ever want to hear a game called in which 40% of the conversation is stories from the 1980s or inane things like asking Darrin Jackson if there were guys he couldn't hit (a question that must come up every two weeks), tune in.

Revere is really struggling right now, hitting .220 with 11 k's. I hope he turns it around- Philly could eat him alive before long and he doesn't deserve that. Neither did Mike Schmidt, of course, and it didn't help him.

7th win two weeks earlier than last year.

That is a good thing.

Interesting, that hit n run with Dozier/Mauer was a straight steal and Mauer just swung at the pitch

Minnesota Twins: Joe Mauer's groundout was not a hit-and-run - TwinCities.com (http://www.twincities.com/twins/ci_23071568/minnesota-twins-joe-mauers-groundout-was-not-hit)

Looks to me like Ventura is overmanaging his roster. I know Konerko is glacier slow, but there was a good chance that the game could come back to him. Also, he went through a lot of pitchers in a short time. The "defensive" changes that the Sox made directly led to the winning run. The ump had a big strike zone and the wind was blowing in from left, those are very good pitching conditions and both Worley and Peavey took advantage of that. Doumit ended up making an excellent baserunning move which might have made a difference in Ramirez' throw.
