We're really going to trot out Hernandez and his 86 mph lefthanded meatball against all those righthanded boppers? Really? Instead of Hendriks? I preditct 2 of Trout, Pujols, and Trumbo homer off him.

Brock, you should update the Twins rotation for the series as I believe that it is Correia, Pelfrey and Worley.

At least the Twins won't face Weaver in this series. That no hitter last year was not fun.

ashburyjohn

The Twins bats really need to get well, and if they can't against Joe Blanton who is off to a rough start this year then I dunno... Plus, since I was less than lukewarm on the Twins making Blanton an offer in the off-season, I definitely am rooting for an offensive breakout for the Twins today.

So we have ourselves a challenge tonight - can the Twins "big" FA pickup muster enough to make Brendan Harris sit down looking? Forget hypotheticals with Hicks, we've got a real life showdown of ineptitude to witness tonight!

A man went skydiving for the first time, and after five seconds in the air he pulled the ripcord. Nothing happened. He tried again. Still nothing. He started to panic, but remembered his backup chute and pulled that cord. Nothing happened. Suddenly, he looked down and saw a man going up! Just as the other guy passed by, the skydiver yelled, “Hey, do you know anything about skydiving?” The other guy yelled back, “Heck no! Do you know anything about catching fly balls hit off of Kevin Correia?”

Sure. Send him out. Two-run lead, different story entirely. As always, depends on the analysis my pitching coach gives me, but yes. Wait until someone gets on to warm anybody up.

/ Edit: my leash is longer than UR's, but it's not unlimited. As before, "don't let him lose" is a good rule of thumb, so I don't want to take him out this inning unless there are 2 baserunners.

Change for the better - progress - identifying breaking pitches in the dirt and laying off

BTW, I like the pinch hitting move by Gardy. Let the new guy go to sleep with a 1-3 debut. .333, that's Hall of Fame stuff, right kid? Good game.

Was Dozier running on that pitch? How does he make it from first to score on that a stretched double?

And giving Hicks a very low pressure AB. Hope to see many more low pressure ABs in the 9 hole for Hicks.

With the exception of that play in left in the 7th. Still, he can go to bed happy and be satisfied with the debut.

The Florimonster!

So, who mops up in the ninth? Fien? Pressly?

I was at dinner. Doesn't count. :)

Its amazing how many runs the Twins can score when their 7-8-9 hitters join the party.

Nice catches by Mastro and Dozier. Now only one last Angel to retire.

That was a very nice win. Let's hope that the Twins can keep playing like this.

She indeed makes great icing on the cake. She was also pretty effective in making me feel less bad when the Twins were playing the Mets.

I expect she can solve many problems.

You'd figure they would be called Sunroof in California. Moonroof is for... I don't know... Carolina or Italy.

Those are the only geographic locations that I can think of that are known for their special moons.

But Arcia's in a slump. Better send him down.

Wow, I'd better be more careful what advice I give. Ryan seems to be listening.
