Two straight starts for Drew Butera. This is my nightmare.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:13 PM
Only b/c of Pavano pitching...1st K of game for Pavs on first batter.

Dumahim

Is Drew out of options yet?

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:17 PM
1-2-3 for Pavs; good start getting Pujols out (not that people are having problems with that anyway) :)

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:19 PM
Drew isn't out of options, but this is his final option year, because he has been sent down to AAA and called back up, so his arbitration status starts next year :|-

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:22 PM
No 3 run start tonite; going to need to start scoring more runs in order to keep winning

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:26 PM
Just as he did so many times when he was with the Twins, Hunter GIDP LOL

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:34 PM
Good start to B2; Willingham doubles and Doumit walks

NorthwestTwinsFan
05-09-2012, 07:37 PM
An unproductive AB by Valencia.....I'm stunned.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:37 PM
Valencia is seriously struggling as he flies out to Hunter... have the Twins tried to do anything to help him out of his slump, or are they waiting for him to get bad enough so that they send him down to the minors and bring someone else up?

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:41 PM
Twins waste even more chances to score as Komatsu GIDP

NorthwestTwinsFan
05-09-2012, 07:41 PM
Aybar was about a foot in front of the batter's box when he hit that ball.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:44 PM
And first blood goes to the Angels with a double from Trout to score Eybar; Here we go again...

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:46 PM
2nd blood also goes to the Angels with a single from Pujols to score Trout

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:48 PM
Unusual...E3 by Mauer; not good when your 1b makes a throwing error :( to let another run come in. No luck for the Twins

glunn
05-09-2012, 07:49 PM
And an error brings in the third run.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:49 PM
Hunter GIDP again...He wasn't THAT bad when he was with the Twins

Two straight starts for Drew Butera. This is my nightmare.

The "Son of Sal" needs to be captured and put in his rightful place as a Single-A Player or a minor league coach. I must say though, the "Like Father Like Son" saying has some validity in the Butera family.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:53 PM
Butera gets out again...on a groundout; Twins need to start capitalizing on opportunities more, especially with their start to the second inning

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:55 PM
Carroll has to be in the league leaders in walks, because it seems like he draws at least one every game and drew one now

Two straight starts for Drew Butera. This is my nightmare.

I thought we were assured on these very pages Butera would never play.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 07:57 PM
And another GIDP for the Twins, this time by Span. Ugh.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:02 PM
With this start, Pavano is losing the last of his tradeablility w/him showing his ability to allow opposing hitters to get hits at a prodigious rate

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:04 PM
Also, most of the pitches that the Angels are getting hits off of Pavano on are right over the middle of the plate; he isn't locating very well tonight.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:08 PM
There have already been 4 DP's tonight, and Wilson on the Angels grounds into another one

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:12 PM
Update on Thome's current status with the Phillies: 18 AB's, 2 hits, 3 BB's, and a .111 average

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:13 PM
Twins go 1-2-3 with 3 groundouts in the B4th; seeing another low-hit game for the Twins happening before my eyes.

nicksaviking
05-09-2012, 08:15 PM
Santana is on a record pace for HR allowed and all the Twins can do is ground out to short. Disappointing.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:15 PM
This game is really moving along. We are in T5; and it has only been an hour since the game started.

nicksaviking
05-09-2012, 08:17 PM
Four innings for Pavano. Wow

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:18 PM
Pavano gives up another run. We knew what we were getting when we re-signed him: A guy who gives up 16 more runs than we can score, and still manages to work 6+ innings in the process.

NorthwestTwinsFan
05-09-2012, 08:20 PM
Wow, Pujols giftwraps an out for the Twins.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:21 PM
Since when is Burnett a long-relief pitcher? Because usually when a SP goes out in the 5th inning, the team goes to a long reliever to take care of 2+ innings.

NorthwestTwinsFan
05-09-2012, 08:22 PM
I guess Pavano's strategy of laying 80 something mph fastballs right down the middle wasn't working.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:24 PM
Another run scores, but at least Pujols was erased from the basepaths

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:28 PM
Wow, Doumit must have some wheels if he is hitting triples

glunn
05-09-2012, 08:28 PM
Look at the bright side -- it's looking more and more likely that we will get the #1 draft pick in 2013.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:29 PM
Twins finally score a run, but it comes at the cost of Danny Valencia getting out again

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:31 PM
Has Gardy determined whether or not Komatsu has the wheels to steal bases, and will he take advantage of it now he is on 1b with a walk?

glunn
05-09-2012, 08:32 PM

I am not sure it makes sense to attempt a steal when down by 4 runs.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:32 PM
Going off of glunn's comment, have people started looking at who we might be drafting in 2013 with our (almost certain) #1 pick?

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:32 PM
And Butera gets a hit! :)

glunn
05-09-2012, 08:34 PM
And Butera gets a hit! :)

Butera was hitting pretty good at Rochester, and hopefully that can continue. And no one seems to dispute his defensive abilities.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:37 PM
Span goes 0-3. Not good for a lead-off hitter with his team down 5-1 and with a runner on 3rd.

NorthwestTwinsFan
05-09-2012, 08:40 PM
Span's been the lone bright spot this season. I think he's allowed a bad game here and there.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:42 PM
We probably should have expected it, with him possibly still being a little shaken after crashing into the wall to catch a fly ball.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:44 PM
Burnett was almost out of his jam, having induced two flyouts, then gave up a single to Wilson.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:49 PM
Burnett then gives up a single to Trout that scores Kendrick. Certain guys in the bullpen are going to have to perform better if they don't want to be sent down to the minors or sent through waivers, esp. Maloney and Swarzak

The Twins are the Washington Generals of the MLB. I hope that changes.

J-Dog Dungan
05-09-2012, 08:55 PM
Top 3 guys in our lineup today: 0-9, 1 K and 3 LOB. Then as I am writing that, Willingham slugs a HR to left; DOPE!

Good one, except the Generals never won or tried to win.

And the fact that Sal was arguably the better player should really end any argument about Drew playing.

Their not the one's who played the Globetrotters, that's clue 1.

Butera is Minnesota's best player tonight. This is depressing.

They won six. I think that actually makes it more sad.

At least Capps hasn't blown a save lately....

Parms gotta hang in there better than that. He's looking more lost all the time, I know he's in a tough spot PH but you have to make the guy work a little.

1987 was all about great hitting catchers for the Twins - To Hell with the Mendoza Line!!!

Where is "Fire Dan Gladden" when you need him? He would be the the perfect cat to fire "J-Dog Dungan". Enough is enough. Settle down your hyper hands and mind... oh, and by the way, would you like to be the ghost writer for my biography?
